Greetings Plant Lovers,
Tuesday March 27, 7 – 9 pm will be our next herb course meeting.
We will be meeting at Dogwood & Brambles Farm, our quaint little family farm. We have a great night planned! As always guests are welcome (guest fee $25) Please note: herb course is the last Tuesday of every month.
We will open classes with a ceremonial blessing of our teachers and students. The ritual of smudging can be defined as “spiritual house cleaning.” Thanks to our friend from the Chippewa’s of Georgina, Laurie Hoeg, who will perform the ceremony.
This month’s class
With Spring upon us (Sap is running, Robins and Geese have returned home, yahoo!) it seemed like the perfect time to rejuvenate our skin after a long, cold and dry winter. So, we have decided to pamper one another with all-natural facials. For many of you students this will be the perfect way to answer Lesson Five’s question 7😊
We will begin class preparing our natural skin care products:
Miracle Grains –The grains are used to gently massage and stimulate the skin. (We will prepare this blend during class)
Herbal Facial Steam – This is a deep cleaning of pores. Herbs are rich in nutrients that nourish and tone skin. (The steam blend is already prepared for class)
Queen of Hungary’s Water – Finish by closing pores and toning skin with an astringent. (The water is already prepared for class)
The Perfect Cream –This is a real moisturizer, providing nourishment, moisture and food for the skin. (We will prepare this blend during class)
We have a special treat for the second half of the class, Petra from Petra Esthetics will teach us the proper techniques for giving a relaxing facial. We will request you to have a partner and you will give and receive facials with your partner. http://petraesthetics.com/
Please RSVP, we want to ensure numbers for supplies
Looking forward to seeing you all soon
