Greetings Plant Lovers,
Happy November everyone! I embrace this time of year…getting ready for winter, and Christmas!
Tuesday November 24th, 7 – 9pm will be our next meeting. We will be meeting here at Dogwood & Brambles, our family farm. Please find map attached. We have a great night planned! As always guests are welcome (guest fee $25) Please note: herb course is the last Tuesday of every month.
We hope to open classes each night with a ceremonial blessing of our teachers and students. The ritual of smudging can be defined as “spiritual house cleaning.”. Thanks to our friends from the Chippewa’s of Georgina, Laurie Hoeg and Penny Trumble, who will perform the ceremony, if they can make the class.
This months class:
Overview – Uh oh! You know the symptoms. You’ve got a cold, or worse the flu. With a bit of loving care and a healthy immune system a cold can usually run its course within a week. Learn some simple things to do and what not to do to prevent or eliminate symptoms. Natural remedies can help relieve cold and flu symptoms faster and may prevent secondary infections, like pneumonia. We will show you how to use natural remedies to help you kick those winter cold symptoms and boost your immune system. Learn how to blend herbs and essential oils to create teas, tinctures and steam baths. We will also touch on the benefits of eating the right foods, as Hippocrates said, “Let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food”.
Please RSVP, we want to ensure numbers for supplies.
Looking forward to seeing you all soon
