Greetings Plant Lovers,
Wow, February is slipping by so fast, I blinked and we are in the middle of the month. Spring will be here before we know it!
Tuesday February 23, 7 – 9pm will be our next meeting. We will be meeting here at Dogwood & Brambles, our family farm. Please find map attached. We have a great night planned! As always guests are welcome (guest fee $25) Please note: herb course is the last Tuesday of every month.
We hope to open classes each night with a ceremonial blessing of our teachers and students. The ritual of smudging can be defined as “spiritual house cleaning.”. Thanks to our friends from the Chippewa’s of Georgina, Laurie Hoeg and Penny Trumble, who will perform the ceremony, if they can make the class.
This months class:
Overview – As many of you know, I am going to become a grandmother any day now. Over the last few months I have enjoyed blending my daughter in law, Bobbi, teas for her pregnancy. Many of my kids childhood friends have also become parents and have asked me for traditional herbal formulas and information to use for their families. So I thought, it is definitely time to spend an evening sharing traditional herbal information and formulas with our students on the topic of “Mommas and Babies”
Learn tea blends for pregnancy, increasing flow of mothers milk etc. Help give baby relief from colds, colic and diarrhea. We will also cover what herbs are safe and the ones to stay away from. Learn all the basics and the one herb that is a must for all new moms, Catnip and why it is so great.
Together we will make up a tea and a baby powder.
Please RSVP, we want to ensure numbers for supplies
Looking forward to seeing you all soon
