Greetings Plant Lovers,
Happy harvest to you all! We started The Ginkgo Tree Herbal Course off with a BANG! Our Annual September Back To Your Roots Herbal retreat was AMAZING! And what an honour for us to have world renowned lecturer, David Winston, as our key note speaker.
Please note: there is NOT an additional class in September.
Tuesday October 30, 7 – 9 pm will be our next meeting. We will be meeting here at Dogwood & Brambles, our family farm. We have a great night planned! As always guests are welcome for a fee of $25.00 (depending on space and pre-registering). Students who have completed their two years must pay the annual student fee of $150.00 prior to classes. Simply register here https://theginkgotree.ca/products/ Please note: herb course is the last Tuesday of every month. Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend the October class, but for a great reason! I have been asked to go to Africa to speak to the women of the Ewe Tribe. This is a great honour for which I am very thankful. Darlene McIntyre of Faunus Herbs will lead the class in my place.
We will open classes with a ceremonial blessing of our teachers and students. The ritual of smudging can be defined as “spiritual house cleaning.” Thanks to our friend from the Chippewa’s of Georgina, Laurie Hoeg, who will perform the ceremony.
This month’s class (October)
Teas and Tinctures ~ Preparation & Blending Workshop
In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to create a seasonal Tea blend for you and your family. We will learn the correct technique of brewing an herbal tea and will sip on our herbal beverage while learning how to make a tincture. The tincture we have chosen to blend is an immune tonic, just what you need this time of year! Everyone will go home with a small bag of tea and a bottle of our Immune tincture blend.
Please RSVP, we want to ensure numbers for supplies
Looking forward to seeing you all soon
Penny and Darlene
