Greetings Plant Lovers,
Wow, February is slipping by so fast, I blinked and we are in the last week of the month. Spring will be here before we know it!
Tuesday February 28, 7 – 9pm will be our next meeting. We will be meeting here at Dogwood & Brambles, our family farm. We have a great night planned! As always guests are welcome (guest fee $25) Please note: herb course is the last Tuesday of every month.
We hope to open classes each night with a ceremonial blessing of our teachers and students. The ritual of smudging can be defined as “spiritual house cleaning.”. Thanks to our friend from the Chippewa’s of Georgina, Laurie Hoeg, who will perform the ceremony, if Lori can make the class.
Overview – As many of you know, I travel with the Restorative Medicine Conferences all over North America where we provide education for MD, DC, DO and NDs. I feel so fortunate to hear new and interesting lectures. One particular lecture in Toronto this month caught my attention and thought I would share with our class. Dr. Wilson, MD lectured on a “no feed state”, a radical new way of thinking about food. Something I have never tried, until now. I was always a grazer when it came to eating but this might change my thinking. I always like to use myself as a guinea pig….I will be interested to see how I feel. With this lecture in mind we will touch on the thyroid and adrenals as they are so connected to our overall well being.
Also at the request of one of our students we will learn about our circulatory system and the botanicals that help this system.
Please RSVP
Looking forward to seeing you all soon
