The Ginkgo Tree
I LOVE tea! The heavenly aroma, the beautiful colours and textures of the plants, the delicious taste, plus all the amazing benefits to our health! Hot or cold, tea is simply the perfect drink:)
We planted a Ginkgo Tree several years ago on the farm for its beauty and medicinal use, but it has come to represent so much more to me! When deciding on a name for our tea business, The Ginkgo Tree seemed to be the perfect fit; a symbol of longevity, hope, resilience and peace. Such a beautiful tree!
Tea has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and will continue to be. Whether it is with a meal, a social visit, a dessert, or feeling under the weather, tea was always part of the day. I simply love the ritual of making tea; the kettle whistling, the beautiful brown betty with flowers painted on the side (my fixation on my dad’s old teapot) the loose tea and the tea cozies, dont get me started on cute tea cozies and then picking out the perfect cup and saucer to drink from. Let us help you to discover your next favourite cup of tea!
Myrtle Mae’s Apothecary
The name for the apothecary kit was easy, Myrtle Mae’s Apothecary Kit, Myrtle Mae is actually my gramma’s name! I just love it… it’s so cute, just like her. Check out her picture on the label! My gramma grew up on a farm and learned to love the nature that was all around her. She was the first and the oldest nature lover that I have ever known. She passed away in 2013 at the ripe old age of 95, but before she passed on, she was able to see the beginnings of the Apothecary Kit.
Myrtle Mae’s granddaughter,

One of my favourite spots on the farm is in the barnyard, Lucy sunning herself in a window sill, the horses standing in the cool shade of the barn, the chickens scratching around and the dogs waiting patiently at the gate, Barnyard Blends seemed like the perfect name!
This year I have had several customers want me to make blends for their pets. This led me in the direction of creating this line of Barnyard Blends. If you feel comfortable treating common ailments in your own barnyard – check these out.
